Welcome the Inaugural 8th Grade Class and Celebrates Record Enrollment

This school year marks an exciting milestone for St. Luc School: the launch of our very first 8th grade class.  After proudly opening our inaugural 7th grade class in 2024–2025, we have officially expanded to serve all middle school grade levels.  Twelve (12) bright and motivated students make up this historic 8th grade cohort, pictured here, and they have quickly become leaders within the St. Luc community.

Our 8th graders are engaged in a full academic program designed to prepare them for success in secondary school and beyond. Their curriculum includes Math, Biology, Social Science, English, Spanish, French, Creole, Art, and Citizenship Education. Each is taught by dedicated subject-area teachers who are committed to their growth.

In addition to this important academic milestone, St. Luc School is experiencing unprecedented enrollment. This year, 570 students are enrolled – nearly double last year’s total of 300. While this remarkable growth is a testament to the school’s reputation for safe, high-quality education, it also reflects the difficult reality facing Haitian families today. Many have fled gang violence and political instability in other regions of Haiti, while others have returned after being expelled from the Dominican Republic. St. Luc has become a place of stability, hope, and opportunity for families seeking safety and a brighter future for their children.

As we celebrate this year’s accomplishments, the inaugural 8th graders stand as a symbol of resilience and possibility. Their journey represents the progress of the school, the dedication of our teachers, and the ongoing support of our community – support that makes it possible for St. Luc to grow and serve more children every year.
